Sweden was a major market for the German company Märklin in the 1950s. So when Märklin introduced Sweden’s most common electric locomotive in H0 scale (1:87) in 1957, nobody was surprised.

But the color …

The gigantic incorrectly painted Märklin locomotive still stands like a monument outside the Railway Museum in Ängelholm — a full-scale tribute to a model that was never supposed to exist.
