What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Comments on this page
When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the information displayed in the comment form as well as the visitor’s IP address and user agent string to help detect spam messages.
An anonymised string created from your email address (also known as a hash value) may be sent to the Gravatar service to determine if you are registered there. The privacy policy of the Gravatar service is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment has been approved, your profile picture will be publicly displayed along with your comment.
Contact, interest or order form
If you fill in a contact form, interest form or order a service, we will store the information you provide in the form to use to contact you and answer the questions you request, or to administer the service.
Cookie files
If you leave a comment on our website, you can choose to save your name, email address and website address in cookie files. This is for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in this information again the next time you write a comment. These cookie files are valid for one year.
Cookies can also be used to manage website statistics using Google analytics.
To manage the cookies and similar technologies used (tracking pixels, web beacons, etc.) and related content, we use the “Real Cookie Banner” consent tool. More information on how the “Real Cookie Banner” works can be found at https://devowl.io/rcb/data-processing/.
The legal basis for the processing of personal data in this context is Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR and Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the management of the cookies and similar technologies used and the related consents.
The provision of personal data is neither contractual nor necessary for the conclusion of a contract. You are not obliged to provide the personal data. If you do not provide the personal data, we will not be able to process your consents.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on this website may contain embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in exactly the same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect information about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking and monitor your interaction with said embedded content, including tracking your interaction with this embedded content if you have an account and are logged into the website in question.
Who we share your data with
We do not share your data with anyone else without your specific authorisation.
How long we keep your data
If you post a comment, the comment and its metadata will be stored indefinitely. The reason for this is that we need to be able to find and approve follow-up comments automatically and not queue them for review.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account or have posted any comments on this website, you can request an export file of the personal data we hold about you, including any information you have given us. You can also request that we delete any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data that we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal or security purposes.
Where we send your data
Comments from visitors may be checked via an automated spam detection service.
Your rights
Under section 26 of the Personal Data Act (1998:204), you have the right to be informed, free of charge, once per calendar year, following a signed written request to us (notification via the Contact Us page is fine), of what personal data we process about you and how we process it. You also have the right, under Section 28 of the Personal Data Act, to request rectification of personal data that we process about you. Read more about GDPR here.
